MetaIgual – “A program to educate in empathy, equality, and critical thinking in digital environments,” launched in 2022, its initial objective was to prepare materials that would allow us to work on the prevention and eradication of gender-based violence, focusing especially on digital environments and young people aged 12 to 18 (which is where the association has the greatest knowledge and access in our non-formal education activities). During these two years of implementation, we have been able to carry out activities that have highlighted sexist video games and sexual violence on the social media platforms that video games themselves feature.
Work has also been done on sexual harassment in the virtual world and in the new metaverse.

The main and overall objectives of this MetaIgual Program are:
• To create educational materials focused on awareness, sensitization, and awareness among adolescents about equality and gender-based violence.
• To promote empathy, equality, and critical thinking among young people.
• Raise awareness among young people about the proper use of digital media in their social and romantic relationships.
• Prevent gender-based violence in general, but especially in the digital environment, through education in technical and interpersonal strategies and resources.
• Highlight the role of those who are passive subjects so that they foster empathy with the victims.

While our primary target audience is young people, the materials produced can also be used by everyone, since it is not only young people who are emphasizing and perpetuating gender stereotypes on the Internet and social media. However, young people are more likely to be consumers of the virtual world and need information, education, and awareness.

CONTENT 2025
The main objective is the creation and implementation of an innovative board game and the complementary digital modality with more than 250 questions to educate on equality, empathy, and critical thinking.
