Innovative Mathematics Education Through Educational Games and Gamification Method

Objectives

The objectives that we would like to achieve by implementing this project are:
O1-To increase the mathematics achievement of 100 disadvantaged learners by 20% by June 2025
O2-To develop a guidebook with at least 36 games applicable for primary, secondary and high school levels about the
gamification method by June 2025.
O3-To train at least 12 teachers about gamification method until June 2025

Activities

We are going to implement:
– workshops and seminars about gamification method to students and teachers
-presentations about gamification method
-a Maths festival
-maths competitions
-Erasmus days events
-developing board games,escape games,web 2.0 tools based games,powerpoint themed games

Impact

-creating positive and inclusive learning environments for students with low academic achievement-increasing inclusion of learners from disadvantaged backgrounds, such as those with disabilities, from low-incomefamilies and refugees-developing positive attitude towards school and improve their academic results in maths lesson-Reducing students’ anxiety levels towards mathematics lesson-promoting the use of technology in education and training-developing digital skills in learners and teachers
