DISYAI Project: Developing Digital Skills for Young Workers in the Age of AI

About the Project

The project was designed with the primary aim of strengthening young workers’ skills in digital literacy and the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). The objective was to equip them with technological and methodological tools to foster critical thinking and the ethical use of technology among young people, helping to transform them into responsible digital citizens.

Through a modern training programme, we aim to guide and promote the ethical, safe and highly responsible use of Artificial Intelligence, transforming technology into a driving force for inclusion and active learning.

DISYAI is the result of collaborative work by a network of European organisations dedicated to youth and educational innovation. Alongside Blue Beehive (Spain), the active consortium comprises:
Changemakers MSA (Hungary)
JEAD – Associação Jovens na Europa (Portugal)
Asociatia Active Yourope (Romania)
Fundacja Enabler (Poland)
Kusadasi Egitim (Turkey)

Activities Carried Out: Training in Alicante

One of the key milestones of the project was the Professional Development Mobility programme for youth workers.
This intensive week of training took place from 19 to 26 April 2026 at the La Florida youth hostel in Alicante.
Participation: We managed to bring together 21 participants from across the network: 5 participants from Hungary, 4 from Portugal, and 3 representatives from the other partner organisations.
Methodology: Through practical workshops, discussions and non-formal learning seminars, participants explored practical applications of AI and developed action plans to implement in their local communities.

Open Results and Resources (PLE)

The impact of DISYAI extends beyond face-to-face training. Our aim is for any youth worker or organisation to be able to benefit from what has been learnt. We have created an interactive digital space designed to centralise educational resources. Although the initial aim was to catalogue 50 AI-based tools, our PLE currently hosts 60 digital tools, organised into four functional categories for working with young people:

  • Multimedia creation (videos and images)
  • Collaborative work and group dynamics
  • Mentoring and individualised support for young people
  • Safety, ethics and spotting ‘Fake News’ (Critical Thinking)
